Tea and Zinc Absorption

Zinc is a trace mineral needed by human to transport oxygen and help the enzyme system. Insufficient of zinc can cause anemia.

There are two types of zinc, i.e. heme zinc and non-heme zinc. Heme zinc contained in food comes from animals, while non-heme zinc contained in food comes from plants. Heme zinc is easier to be absorbed by the body rather than non-heme zinc.

Many researchers explain that consuming tea can interrupt the absorption of zinc. Don’t worry about it. By consuming tea in the right way, you can avoid that bad effect. Here is some suggestion:
1. Consume tea between eating time.
2. Consume enough of vitamin C.
3. Milk is suggested as associate of tea.
